Vigilante Chairman, Five Others Killed As Suicide Bomber Hits Checkpoint In Konduga

No fewer than six people were killed and many injured as a suicide bomber blew up self in Konduga, Borno State, on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at about 01:25pm in Konduga town at the military checkpoint for screening human traffic. 

Five civilians, including the head of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in the town, and two of his colleagues were killed in the incident while a dozen others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

“It was sad news for us today; the Chairman of vigilante in Konduga and two members were killed by an agent of Satan,” he said.

“Tsoho, as popularly called by soldiers, has helped in fight against Boko Haram. It was great loss to us.”
